Ladies Rugby Update

The latest edition to Clondalkin Rugby Club’s playing population the women’s rugby team is on the look out for more players and a coach to lead them into their inaugural campaign.

Clon only officially announced they were entering a women’s rugby team into competitive action last week but the reaction has been immense.

The number of potential players expressing an interest has defied all expectations and the reaction and support from both inside the club and the area in general has been immense.

Now, however as well as more players the Club are in search of a coach to lead the ladies on the historic journey.

“Since we announced we were launching a womens rugby team last week the response has been great. We are still looking for more players and players of all standard are welcome. But we are also on the look out for a Coach. We are open to offers it can be someone from within or outside the club. We had offers from a lot of people to help, but need someone who is going to be 100 percent available to ensure the Women’s team is successful, not just for this year but for the years to come,” Club Secretary Conor Steed explained.

“We are always complimented on the atmosphere within the club, and have seen rise in interest in recent years and this will just add to that. We are delighted to be adding a women’s team and the reaction we have got has been great so far from everyone in the club. But again we are looking for more players. Anyone interested will be made more than welcome”. Contact Conor Steed at 0868352594 or info@clondalkinrugby.com
