Irelands call for Nolan
Article by Jonny StapletonClondalkin Rugby Club under-18 starlet Niall Nolan joined a unique band of Clondalkin brothers when he donned the green of Ireland last week.
The under-18 starlet has impressed for Leinster Youths since he was selected for the Lions squads this term, and has been reward for some fine performances with a call up to the Ireland Youth squad.
‘A bit of Magic’ Nolan, who has continually been nothing short of sensational in the yellow of Clondalkin, represented his country in two games against college sides last week and is now in contention for this terms Irish Six Nation Squad.

Nolan follows the likes of John Sexton, Ireland’s 846th full international, and current AIL Trinity regular Chris Jebb, who inspired Clondalkin to an under 18 All Ireland Final, in donning the Shamrock.
“Everyone at the Club is very proud,” under 18 coach Ken McMahon told the Clondalkin website.
“Niall is a very special talent and deserves the recognition. He has the ability to perform at that level and it’s great to see talent from Clondalkin recognised. Niall has stood out in most of the games he played and has top scored for the side every year. It’s another boost for an ever growing youth set up in the club and a great and deserved honor for Niall himself. Hopefully he can go on and progress further, if that’s what he wants. He is more than capable. He is a natural talent with a great work ethic and is a credit to the club,” McMahon concluded.
