Mini Coaching Course This Weekend

There will be an IRFU Mini Course being run in Clondalkin RFC on the weekend of the 30th/31st January. All welcome if interested please contact Barney at 0878223633.

Dates: Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January.
Time: Registration 9am each morning.
Cost: 40 euro refunded by CRFC on completion of course

Description: Long Term Player Development Stage 1
This course is specifically designed for coaches of Mini rugby (6yrs-12yrs) where players are being introduced to rugby for the first time and participating in games of reduced numbers (8-a-side, 10-a-side and 12-a-side). The focus is on safety & enjoyment with the coach acting as ‘guide’ in a player-centered process. Developing players’ all-round skills and game-understanding with an emphasis on Physical Literacy appropriate to the stages of development of each individual are the key technical, tactical & physical module objectives. The course develops the coach as ‘Guide’.

Entry Criteria: There is no entry requirement, however applicants must be over 18 years of age.

Accreditation: (Immediately):

Full course attendance (Saturday and Sunday)

Practical demonstration (within course) of safety awareness in skills requiring contact

Sign-off and awareness of the "Code of Ethics" document
