Clon 40/1 to win the Towns Cup

Club captain Dan Fitzpatrick was surprisingly happy to see that Clon have been announced as 40/1 outsiders for the Towns Cup. He had the following to say "Right, i was horrified to see we were such outsiders right, but then i thought to myself right, what if i put ten euro on this bet. I did the maths and figured it would help clear my debts from the protein shakes so i put a tenner on it because i'm quietly confident about my boys right".

Club statisticians Carl Horan and Owly combined to do the maths and figured each player stands to make €4000 from a €10 bet. This had them out cruising car shops looking to get themselves a new motor. We here at clondalkinrugby.com would like to point out that the boys wouldnt be the most intellectually gifted and its actually only €400 that their going to win. Still with that kind of cash they will be stepping up a class or two from the old Seat Ibiza.
