5,000 Tackles 18th October 2009

Last year the hugely successful event rasied over 8,500 euro for mini & Club Rugby, and we are hoping to break this figure this year as now more than ever funds are required by the club across all sections.

This year we intend to set a Guiness World Record of 5,000 Tackles in one Hour, and hopely this will raise the profile of the Club. Minister John Curran Has agreed to Sponsor the Event, and pledged 500 euro so only another 8k to go. We Require 15 Sponsors of 150 euro each, and Another main sponsor of 500 Euro,The sponsors names will be carried on the Back of each sponsor Card,and also on the sponsors page on the website. This event was one of the main sources of revenue for Mini & Club Rugby,last season, and funds were used to support various outings and pay for kit for kids.Although the event is carried out by the mini section, seniors were able to pay for Physio charges via this event last season via sponsor cards. The event recieved widespread coverage in both local & National Press and we would expect the same this year.
