After last year’s staggering success of movember in the club between a few handsome beards, the laurels Clondalkin has taken notice. The laurels Clondalkin are promoting a joint charity event with the club to raise awareness for men\'s health.

The month long event will involve men growing a moustache and throughout the month events will be held in the laurels and the club. Registration for the month long event is 10 euro and this 10 euro will go towards a man\'s charity.

Registration is on the 1st of November in the laurels where your photo will be taken and added to the laurels Facebook page. At the end of November, Sunday 31st everyone comes back to the laurels to get their moustaches shaved off and get their photos taken again for the movember theme night party. Also during the month long event their will be 10 challenges. These will be judged every weekend in the laurels or the club and a score will be added to the league table and at the end of event whoever is at the top will win a luxury prize.

The Laurels will be holding the photo shoot this sunday after the Gorey match, please arrive with a clean well shaving face !

Race Night

After the success of last year, we are running the dogs fundraiser again and we need your help. Here are the various ways in which you can do so;

Firstly, each member will receive an allocation of Admission tickets for the night (€10) to sell to family, friends and colleagues.

You will also receive “Buster” tickets (also €10), which is a draw on the night with a prize of €1,000, and limited to 720 tickets.

Both tickets will be distributed in the next week from;

Pat Cagney – Committee & Pavilion members

Myself – Senior Mens

Linda Scully – Ladies

Winston – U19 & 17s

Barney – U15s to mini

Secondly, we have been kindly given Advertising space in the race programme on the night, free of charge by Shelbourne Park. This is a great way to advertise yours or employers business whilst supporting your club. Given the times we live in all Ads are reasonably priced, and anyone interested please get in touch with Conor Moloney or Phil Byrne.

Finally, we also need prizes for the raffle on the night. All donations will be greatly accepted not matter how big or small.

Ivan ties the knot

Last seen terrorizing opposition wingers circa. 2000 for Clondalkin's 2nds team, Ivan Rodriguez tied the knot recently in Madrid. Rob Hayes was there enjoying the festivities and the photos can be viewed on this link.

Many congrats to the newly-weds and we look foward to weloming Ivan back to Clondalkin RFC in the future.
