Nolan selected for Leinster

Clondalkin under-18 starlet Niall Nolan has recently selected in the Leinster Youth Squad for the coming season.

The versatile back has been rewarded for some brilliant displays in the under-16s North Midlands Cup wining campaign as well his form in the club’s debut season in the under-16 premier division.

Niall, younger brother of former under-18 All Ireland finalist and current senior centre John Nolan, was the clubs top try scorer last term, at one stage registering 10 tries in 3 games, and also impressed with the North Midlands select.

The player most effective in midfield has now the chance to impress on the provincial scene something under-18 coach Ken McMahon believes he has the ability to do.

Speaking from Las Vegas a sleep deprived McMahon who hasn’t seen daylight or his hotel room since the taxi ride from the Airport to the Casino a week ago told the Clondalkin website. “Niall is very talented and will not be out of depth at that level. He has been training with them all summer so obviously the Leinster coaches have seen what we do every game. He is a great competitor can score from anywhere and is a super tackler. If he works hard he can do well I the blue of Leinster as well as the yellow of Clondalkin this season.”
